CatalogFAQ Free 1.2.2 — installation and update

Back up your WordPress database and files and test on staging. Upload catalog-faq.zip through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, then replace the existing catalogfaq-product-answers plugin. Do not uninstall to update. Questions, groups and assignments are retained.

This is a Free-only patch. The currently distributed Pro 1.1.3 add-on uses the retained Free API 2 and remains compatible; a new Pro download is not required. Eligible Pro downloads remain in customer accounts. This patch does not open paid checkout.

If you still use the older catalog-faq plugin folder, follow the legacy-folder migration in the Free readme: review Pro's deactivation impact, deactivate Pro and the old Free copy without uninstalling, then activate catalogfaq-product-answers and your compatible Pro add-on. Never run both Free copies together. Rules stop applying while Pro is inactive; verify published answers after reactivation.

Free minimums: WordPress 6.6 and PHP 8.2.
Pro 1.1.3 minimums: WordPress 6.8 and PHP 8.2.
