Review first, apply second
Use the import screen’s JSON or CSV workflow and the provided template. For a simple CSV, start with the Question, Answer and Group columns. Do not rename headers or assume another plugin’s export uses the same format.
- Back up your database and plugin files.
- Upload the file and review the proposed changes.
- Check whether each item creates a draft or updates a selected match.

Know what the backup contains
Free includes JSON/CSV content portability and same-site CatalogFAQ ZIP backup and restore. A CatalogFAQ backup is not a full WordPress backup: it does not include your media library, theme, ordinary pages or the rest of the site.
The PHP ZIP extension is required for ZIP workflows. Keep a separate, tested site backup and protect exported files if their content is private.
Moving to another site
Free can transfer FAQ content through JSON/CSV. Recheck page placements and product assignments at the destination.
Pro adds cross-site ZIP migration and explicit product remapping. A product identifier on one site does not prove it refers to the same product on another. Review the mapping rather than assuming it is safe.
Existing plans and older imports
Previously started Free bundle plans can still be resumed. Existing saved Free global defaults remain editable. These compatibility cases do not make new cross-site mapping or new global defaults part of Free.
The Easy Accordion FREE importer was tested with version 3.1.10 classic custom-content items. It leaves the source content unchanged. Other formats may need manual conversion.
