Reuse answers without losing context

One shared answer can serve several groups. Learn when to share it and when to write a separate one.

Give common wording one home

Keep a delivery policy or general care instruction as one answer in the FAQ library. Include that answer in each relevant group. An edit to the original answer updates fresh placements that use it.

Groups organize answers; they do not need to contain duplicate copies. Review the groups that reuse an answer before changing a policy.

Keep exceptions explicit

If two products need different instructions, use separate answers and groups in Free. Give the questions clear titles so you can tell them apart later.

Pro can provide product-specific wording and conditional rules. Preview the intended product and check an unaffected product as well.

Write for the question in front of you

  • Put the direct answer in the first sentence.
  • Use short steps for a task, and a list for genuine alternatives.
  • Link to a policy instead of repeating a long legal document.
  • Use descriptive link text and meaningful image alternatives.
  • Review dates, delivery promises and measurements regularly.

Make the answer easy to find

Choose accordion, cards or list layouts to suit the page. Use the plugin’s search and question links where they help visitors. Test keyboard access and mobile layout in your own theme.

CatalogFAQ does not currently output FAQPage structured data. Publishing FAQs is not a promise of search rich results, higher rankings or AI citations.

Check the published wording

A successful save and a fresh public page are different checks. CatalogFAQ integrates with supported local cache plugins, but your hosting cache, CDN and browser can still show an older page. Follow the after-save notice and verify the actual URL while signed out.

Finish with the visitor’s view.

Check the published page while signed out, including its mobile layout.
