Set up Pro, your licence and updates

From your purchase to an eligible download and a connected WordPress installation.

Start with your purchase account

Payment comes before account setup. After your payment is verified, use the account setup email to choose a password. If you already have an account, sign in with that account.

Open My account for your licence details and eligible Pro download. An expired setup link can be replaced through account recovery. Use the email address associated with your purchase.

Keep Free active alongside Pro

  1. Install and activate CatalogFAQ Free.
  2. Download your eligible Pro ZIP from My account.
  3. Upload and activate Pro in WordPress.
  4. Open CatalogFAQ → Licence & updates and enter your licence.
  5. Confirm the connection, then test a small rule before using it across your catalog.

Each distinct host and WordPress home path, including staging, uses a site allowance. Check your plan before activating a staging copy. New activation and automatic updates currently support single-site WordPress only.

Keep licence keys and private download links out of screenshots and public support threads.

Understand renewal and eligibility

Pro plans renew automatically each year until canceled. The plan’s site allowance, price and applicable taxes are shown before payment. Cancel future renewal from your account; cancellation does not itself request a refund.

New-site activation, eligible downloads and updates require current eligibility. Earned local Pro use continues after the update period ends. See the plan terms for the current details.

Before disconnecting or deactivating Pro

Disconnecting a licence pauses Pro changes without deleting saved answers or unfinished work. Deactivating Pro stops its rules and exceptions: a hidden question may return, product-specific wording may revert to the shared answer, and answers placed only by a Pro rule may disappear.

Review important storefront pages first. Protected bulk revert requires Pro and remains subject to its original 30-day window; deactivation does not extend that window.
